You will assemble one-of-a-kind automation systems from individual components to a fully functional machine. This is not repetitive production assembly—it requires mechanical thinking, problem-solving, and the ability to work through a build with limited direction. Experience & Expectations A commitment to contribute to a positive, team, work environment Prior hands-on mechanical experience and the ability to assemble equipment with minimal training Ability to work from mechanical drawings, fitting and aligning components, and progressing through a machine build without step-by-step direction Manual/CNC machining experience and ability to use hand and power tools Responsibilities Complete mechanical assembly of custom automation equipment Perform fit-up, alignment, and adjustment of components Support troubleshooting and debugging of machines Work with engineers and electricians to resolve issues Participate in machine testing and final run-off About Criterion Automation Criterion Automation designs, builds, and installs custom automation equipment for manufacturers who need solutions that do not come off the shelf.
