We currently have an opening for Assembler I in our Gowanda BTI facility, located in Arcade, NY . This position is critical to the success of our manufacturing operations and will support the assembly and production of magnetic and electronic components. Role:
The position of Assembler I will be responsible for performing basic assembly, fabrication, and inspection of electronic components and subassemblies. This role follows established work instructions, safety standards, and quality procedures to ensure consistent, reliable, and high-quality product output. Work is performed under close supervision with continuous skill development. Flexible shifts available 5 am to 5 pm Mon-Friday (standard work shift is 5 am to 1:30 pm, but we are willing to entertain a set altered schedule within normal business hours)
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform basic mechanical or electronic assembly using standard hand tools, jigs, and fixtures. Follow detailed work instructions, routers, and visual aids for routine assembly processes. Complete tasks such as wire stripping, lead trimming, simple soldering, coil winding, potting, encapsulation, and labeling. Conduct basic inspections using calipers, micrometers, magnifiers, multimeters, or other standard measurement tools. Assist with basic functional testing using standardized fixtures and record results accurately. Identify and report defects, documentation, inaccuracies, or equipment concerns. Maintain an organized and clean work area following 5S, ESD controls, and all safety protocols. Support material handling, inventory tracking, and simple equipment setup as required. High school diploma or equivalent. Basic mechanical or electrical aptitude. Ability to follow written instructions and standard procedures. Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity. Prior manufacturing, assembly, or production experience. Basic soldering experience. Ability to perform work using hand tools and standard measurement equipment. Ability to learn and follow quality, safety, and ESD procedures. Strong teamwork, communication, and reliability.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods. Ability to lift upto30lbsoccasionally. Ability to work with adhesives, epoxy, solder, and production machinery. Ability to use fine motor skills when working with small parts and components.
