Position Overview The Mechanical Assembler II will independently assemble mechanical components and subassemblies for high-precision automation equipment. This role is responsible for accurate mechanical build, alignment, and fitment in accordance with released drawings, specifications, and standard work, while supporting continuous improvement efforts. Key Responsibilities Independently assemble mechanical components and subassemblies using released drawings, bills of material, and work instructions. Install and align mechanical parts to meet functional and quality requirements. Troubleshoot and correct basic mechanical fit, alignment, and assembly issues within assigned builds. Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and standard work requirements and escalate non-standard conditions as needed. Ensure all safety, quality, and production standards are met and maintained. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety procedures. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Vocational or technical training preferred but not required.
Skills & Requirements:
Demonstrated experience in mechanical assembly within a manufacturing environment. Ability to independently read and interpret mechanical drawings, assembly instructions, and bills of material. Proficiency with mechanical assembly tools and measuring equipment (e.g., torque tools, hand and power tools). Ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic mechanical issues related to fit, alignment, and assembly. Willingness to learn mechanical assembly techniques and accept coaching from senior team members. Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with engineers, supervisors, and peers.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including standing for extended periods. Ability to safely lift and move materials up to 50 lbs.
Compensation and Benefits Pay Range:
$22.50-28.00 (1st Shift) $26.26-32.20 (2nd Shift) Comprehensive benefits package including: Health insurance Life insurance 401(k) retirement plan Paid time off Paid holidays Long-term disability insurance
