Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Machine Operator/Assembler to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating various machinery and assembling components with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will help ensure high-quality production standards are met while maintaining a safe and productive work environment. This position is on our 2nd shift with standard hours (after training period) of 2pm-10pm. Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and materials specifications to guide assembly and machining tasks. Perform routine inspections using precision measuring with quality control tools to verify dimensions and tolerances. Conduct assembly operations on components using hand tools, pneumatic nail and/or staple guns. Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols; troubleshoot machine issues promptly to minimize downtime. Assist in tooling setup, calibration, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance. Support quality assurance processes by inspecting finished products and documenting production data accurately. Experience Previous factory or manufacturing facility experience is highly preferred, especially within machining or assembly environments. Familiarity with operating various manufacturing equipment such as stamping presses and pneumatic assembly Knowledge of reading and understanding specification sheets Ability to use precision measuring instruments including tape measure confidently for quality control purposes. Strong understanding of safety procedures in a manufacturing environment along with basic math skills for measurements and calculations. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive attitude toward maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency in production processes.
