Job Description
GENERAL SUMMARY
The Mechanical Assembler is responsible assembling various parts in a fast-pace work environment.RESPONSIBILITIES
Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble parts and filling machines.- Assemble parts or units, and position, align, and fasten units to assemblies, sub-assemblies, or frames, using hand tools and power tools
- Connect cables, tubes, and wiring, according to specifications
- Position, align, and adjust parts for proper fit and assembly
- Inspect, test, and adjust completed units to ensure that units meet specifications, tolerances, and customer order requirements
- Verify conformance of parts to stock lists or blueprints, using measuring instruments, such as calipers, gauges, or micrometers
- Maintain quality, precision, and safety by checking own work and paying attention to detail, with a clear understanding of customer requirements
- Complete required paperwork in a timely manner including marking up prints with corrections
- Ability to read and interpret engineering prints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
- Plans sequence of operation
- Dismantles and moves machines and equipment.
- Ensures all safety policies are followed at all times.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to work overtime, off shifts and weekends as needed.
- Must be able to identify material types and thickness as associated to work orders

- Must have manual dexterity in order to assemble products or machines as directed.
- Must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Specific vision abilities to include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to focus objects.
- Must be able to work occasional overtime (days, evenings, and weekends, if necessary).
