ENTRY LEVEL - DIESEL PARTS ASSEMBLER

This energetic role offers an exciting opportunity to learn and develop essential skills in assembling diesel engine parts, utilizing a variety of hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments. Your duties and responsibilities include:
Production Support:
- Reading and confirming the parts list, interpret measurements, and verify specifications
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools and precision measuring instruments is preferred but not required - training will be provided
- Experience with mechanical fastening, soldering or component wiring
- Understanding of safety regulations, including PPE use
- Basic math and measurement skills with an eagerness to learn assembly techniques
- Ability to operate or calibrate machinery such as drills, presses or torque tools
- Determining availability of materials and tools.
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and performing repairs.
- Performing preventive maintenance and reporting and resolving assembly line issues.
- Keeping the workspace clean.
- Adhering to health and safety requirements of the company and industry.
- Conserving resources and supplies to facilitate minimum waste.
- Assist with warehouse tasks including inventory management, shipping, and receiving as needed.
Material Handling:
- Load and unload materials, parts, and components from trucks, pallets, or storage areas.
- Store and organize materials and products in designated locations.
Safety and Quality:
- Follow safety protocols, procedures, and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), such as safety glasses, gloves, etc.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or defective products to supervisors.
Skills and Qualifications:
Physical Stamina:
Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, perform physically demanding tasks, or tasks requiring repetitive movements.
Manual Dexterity & Tool Usage:
Proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools.
Detail:
Ability to inspect parts and assemblies for defects and ensure adherence to quality standards.
Communication:
Ability to understand and follow instructions from supervisors and communicate with team members effectively.
Mechanical Aptitude:
Basic mechanical understanding
Reliability & Work Ethic:
Dependable and dedicated approach to tasks and adherence to schedules.
Education and Experience:
- A high school diploma is preferred but not required.
- Prior experience in manufacturing or assembling is preferred but not required.
Work Environment:
- The work environment is a manufacturing setting, which may involve exposure to noise, dust, fumes, and moving machinery.
The role involves working indoors and outdoors, in various weather conditions and temperatures. Physical activity is common, and standing for extended periods is required.
Pay:
$10.00 - $13.00 per hour
