Position Summary This position assembles components for automatic doors including hardware, controls, and other items as instructed. Essential Functions- Must be able to read and follow specific work instructions using work orders, drawings, samples, etc.
- Must be able to set up, operate, maintain, and adjust miscellaneous light machines and hand tools.
- Must be able to learn cross-training of other types of assembly jobs.
- Clean and arrange workstation to maintain efficient work flow
- Perform any other related work duties as required
- Understand and follow Kanban System instructions.
- Utilize ERP system for printing work orders, accessing schedules, etc.
- Other duties as assigned Qualifications Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Must be able to read and follow work instructions, prints and understand measuring equipment such as tape measures, scales, and their decimals/fractions.
- Must be dependable, responsible, and have a can-do attitude.
- Ability to follow instructions from the Line Supervisor and others.
- Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols applications. Education, Training, Experience
- High school diploma or GED is required
- Prior light assembly experience desired Working Conditions and Physical Demands Work is performed in a factory with exposure to conditions including; noisy, dusty, and dirty environments; and motorized equipment that pose potential safety hazards.
