$17.50/hour Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Surfacing Lab Technician to join our optical manufacturing team on 2nd shift. This position is responsible for processing prescription lenses through various surfacing operations, ensuring quality standards are met while maintaining production goals. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, has strong attention to detail, and is committed to producing high-quality optical products. Essential Responsibilities Operate optical surfacing equipment to generate, grind, and polish prescription lenses. Read and interpret work orders and prescription specifications accurately. Inspect lenses throughout the production process to ensure quality and compliance with customer requirements. Load, unload, and prepare lenses for processing. Monitor machinery performance and report equipment issues to supervisors as needed. Maintain accurate production records and documentation. Follow established safety procedures and quality control standards. Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with company policies. Assist with other laboratory duties as assigned to support production needs. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous manufacturing, production, assembly, or optical lab experience is a plus but not required. Ability to work with small components and perform repetitive tasks. Strong attention to detail and quality. Basic computer skills and ability to follow written instructions. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Physical Requirements Stand and walk for extended periods during the shift. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds as needed. Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with production equipment. Pay Details:
