Job Description

WHAT WE DO AND WHO WE ARE
At Yamaha Marine Precision Propellers, we work as a team to manufacturer boat propellers using an investment casting process. We make high quality products while supporting our teams and local communities by providing great careers in a safe, respectful, and innovative environment.
POSITION PURPOSE
The Dip Operator "shelling process" involves creating a ceramic mold around a wax pattern, which will later be melted away. This process, also known as investing, coats the wax pattern with multiple layers of ceramic slurry and sometimes a stucco, creating a hollow, durable shell capable of holding molten metal. Starting $18.50 per hour with potential for growth based on experience. Attendance incentives are available up to $160 per two-week period.
Shift:
Monday - Friday, 2PM - 10:30PM
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Inspect wax patterns and shells for defects Reference traveler documents to determine the correct dip process Perform automated dip operations, including: Loading parts onto spiders (movable racks) Placing spiders into the dip machine (producer) Selecting and setting programs using computer software Unloading completed parts onto carts with appropriate traveler documentation Perform hand dip operations according to the operations manual Clean spiders and equipment as needed Accurately complete all required production paperwork Maintain a clean and organized work area at the end of each shift
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or GED/High School equivalency Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and accuracy Basic computer navigation skills Effective verbal communication skills Basic math and reasoning abilities Dependable, team-oriented mindset Additional Information All candidates will be subject to full background screening prior to employment.
