Overview Join our dedicated production team as a Memorial Engraver / Sandblaster, where you will play an important role in creating lasting tributes through skilled granite engraving, sandblasting, and decorative finishing. This position combines craftsmanship with technical precision, requiring an exceptional level of accuracy, care, and attention to detail to ensure every memorial is completed to exact specifications and reflects the dignity and respect each family deserves. This is a paid, hands-on skilled production position for an experienced individual who takes pride in high-quality workmanship, works well both independently and as part of a team, and understands the responsibility involved in performing permanent work on customer memorials.

Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Previous granite sandblasting/engraving experience AND forklift experience are required for this position. Responsibilities Prepare and organize memorials for production according to approved drawings, instructions, priorities, and installation deadlines. Carefully verify names, dates, spelling, measurements, layout, placement, and design details before any permanent work is performed. Prepare, position, and apply monument stencils accurately to granite surfaces. Safely operate industrial sandblasting equipment to engrave lettering, artwork, borders, and detailed designs. Inspect work throughout every stage of production for engraving depth, alignment, consistency, accuracy, and overall quality. Hand paint lettering, artwork, and decorative details with precision and consistency. Recognize drawing, stencil, material, or quality discrepancies and stop production when necessary to prevent permanent errors. Receive and verify incoming granite, memorials, and production materials. Load and unload trucks and safely move, stage, organize, and store granite memorials. Maintain accurate inventory and proper identification and organization of materials and memorials. Safely operate stand-up and sit-down forklifts and other material-handling equipment. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production environment. Work collaboratively with the production team and assist with leading or training others when needed. Qualifications Granite sandblasting and memorial engraving experience required. Stand-up and sit-down forklift experience required. Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and quality control are required. Strong understanding of engraving, stencil preparation, surface preparation, and finishing processes. Ability to accurately interpret drawings, measurements, layouts, and production instructions. Strong prioritization and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple production demands. Ability to work independently, take initiative, troubleshoot issues, and exercise sound practical judgment without constant supervision. Must recognize when something appears incorrect and verify information before proceeding with permanent work. Dependable, accountable, safety-conscious, and capable of taking ownership of completed work. Must communicate effectively and work well with others in a team environment. Ability to safely operate heavy sandblasting and production equipment. Ability to safely handle and move heavy granite memorials using appropriate equipment. Ability to lead, train, and provide direction to others as needed. Quality and precision are fundamental to this position. Memorial engraving is permanent, and every piece must be carefully verified and completed to exact specifications. The successful candidate will demonstrate consistent craftsmanship, sound judgment, and respect for the significance of every memorial entrusted to our team.
