Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Production Decorator specializing in Heat Press, Direct-to-Garment (DTG) printing, and Laser Engraving for our custom apparel and promotional products shop in the Charlotte area. We decorate shirts, hoodies, hats, tumblers, leather patches and more for schools, businesses and teams. We're a small, growing team, so your work is seen and it matters: what you press and engrave goes home with a kid at school, onto a company uniform, or into a customer's hands at an event. Your expertise will ensure that each item meets our quality standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where creativity and precision drive success. Responsibilities Operate heat press machines to apply DTF, screen-print and other heat transfers to apparel, hats and bags, with the correct time, temperature, pressure and peel for each garment and transfer type. Use DTG printer to produce detailed, full-color images directly onto apparel and other fabric items, ensuring color fidelity and print quality. Operate our Epilog Fusion CO2 laser to engrave tumblers, leather patches, denim and name tags, including setting up the rotary and focus height Check every piece for placement, quality and accuracy before it moves to packing Read work orders and proofs, and match the right garments, colors, sizes and artwork to each job Keep production moving on deadline, and speak up when something looks wrong before it's pressed Keep your work area, equipment and supplies organized, and let us know when supplies run low Help document and improve how we do things, so the next run comes out right the first time. What we're looking for 1+ year of hands-on experience with heat press, DTG or laser engraving (any one is great; all three is a bonus) A sharp eye for detail: crooked, off-center or "close enough" bothers you Dependable and on time; you take ownership of your work Comfortable following written procedures and machine settings, and willing to learn new ones Able to stand for long periods and lift up to [40] lbs Nice to have Experience with DTF or SupaColor transfers Experience with Epilog or other CO2 lasers, including rotary engraving Basic computer skills (Windows, CorelDRAW, or printer/laser software) Background in a print shop, embroidery shop or other custom apparel shop
Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
