You'll operate MEI lens edging equipment, finish prescription lenses, and help ensure every pair meets our standards for accuracy, fit, and appearance. Duties Set up and operate MEI edging equipment to process prescription lenses. Read work tickets and verify lens, frame, and job specifications before processing. Perform lens tracing, blocking, edging, beveling, grooving, and drilling as required by the job and equipment. Inspect finished lenses for size, shape, alignment, edge quality, and defects. Mount lenses into frames and check finished fit and workmanship, as assigned. Identify processing problems, make routine adjustments within training, and report equipment or quality issues. Perform routine cleaning and equipment maintenance according to lab procedures. Keep jobs organized and meet production goals while maintaining quality. Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area. Qualifications Optical lab edging experience preferred; experience operating MEI equipment strongly preferred. Familiarity with prescription lenses, lens materials, frame styles, and finishing processes. Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and ability to follow written instructions. Ability to troubleshoot routine production issues and work efficiently in a busy lab. Dependable attendance and a team-oriented approach.

Pay:

$18.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 8.0 per week
