Grade 6 Reports to: Supervisor Job DescriptionESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Comply with all federal and state environmental, health and safety regulations as well as any safety policies and protocols outlined by the company.
- Set up and trim, finish parts on appropriate equipment.
- Set up and operate large laser cutting machines and automated inscription machine.
- Load and unload ovens.
- Final inspection of parts using various measuring devices.
- Follow all SPC procedures.
- Rework parts as necessary.
- In process, trim and inspect all parts as required (line pull).
- Record daily activities including clock offs and special projects.
- Record all Information on GT data collection system as required.
- Must be able to electronically perform SAP transactions such as labor and material usage in a timely and accurate manner.
- Perform miscellaneous duties in the area as assigned.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
- Pull flash, cut vents and count parts.
- Rinse and bag parts as required.
- Transport work in process and finished goods within and between departments as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience
- Perform job in compliance with Company's Quality Policy (ISO 9000).
- Ability to read and interpret prints.
- Ability to read, understand and follow the work instructions in all operations.
- Maintain annual QC certification.
- Demonstrated ability to independently read and interpret production drawings, work instructions, Company documents and other specified requirements essential for performing standard job functions
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to work in positions requiring frequent pushing, grasping and repetitive movement.
- Ability to occasionally work in positions requiring occasional pulling, twisting, and reaching.
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment such as: Eye Protection, Protective Gloves, Hearing Protection
- Ability to work in alternating positions of sitting and standing for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. without the use of mechanical lifting devices.
- Ability to carry up to 25 lbs. without the use of mechanical lifting devices.
