m.; occasional overtime as needed About the Role The Apartment Company is seeking an experienced Stone Fabricator / Installer to support our multifamily apartment communities throughout South San Diego County. This is a multi-site position that works between a primary work location and 11 apartment communities throughout South County , based on operational needs. The position requires regular local travel between properties. Mileage is reimbursed when traveling between multiple assigned properties during the same work shift. We are looking for a skilled professional with a strong background in stone fabrication, installation, repair, and refinishing who can confidently handle projects from measurement through final installation. This position will work on countertops, vanities, backsplashes, islands, and other stone surfaces in both occupied and vacant apartment homes. The ideal candidate is highly skilled, dependable, detail-oriented, and takes pride in producing clean, professional finishes. Key Responsibilities Measure, fabricate, cut, polish, finish, and install stone countertops, vanities, islands, backsplashes, and related surfaces Work with granite, quartz, marble, quartzite, and similar materials Perform on-site repairs, including chips, cracks, seams, resurfacing, and polishing Complete accurate field measurements and prepare materials for installation Ensure proper leveling, alignment, seam placement, and secure installation Perform seam setting, edge finishing, and other detailed fabrication work Safely operate fabrication and installation tools, including saws, grinders, polishers, and other hand and power tools Troubleshoot installation or repair issues and determine appropriate solutions Travel between assigned South County apartment communities based on daily operational needs Coordinate with Maintenance Supervisors and on-site teams to complete projects efficiently Maintain clean and professional work areas, particularly when working in occupied apartment communities Follow company safety, quality, and property standards Qualifications 3+ years of hands-on stone fabrication and installation experience preferred Strong experience with countertop fabrication, installation, repair, and finishing Ability to independently measure, cut, polish, repair, and install stone Experience working with granite, quartz, marble, quartzite, or similar materials Strong attention to detail and demonstrated craftsmanship Comfortable working in occupied and vacant residential units Ability to safely lift and maneuver materials weighing up to 75 lbs. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability and willingness to travel between assigned South County properties Ability to work independently and collaborate with property and maintenance teams Preferred Experience Multifamily, residential, remodeling, or maintenance-related experience Countertop and vanity installation Unit turns and in-place stone repairs Seam setting, mitered edges, and specialty finishes CNC machinery and/or digital templating systems Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus What We Offer $30.00
