• Metal Finishing on behalf of an established manufacturing client in Santa Ana, CA.

This is a hands-on manufacturing position responsible for grinding, sanding, polishing, and preparing metal components for finishing. The Polisher I will use polishing and buffing equipment, sandblasting equipment, hand tools, and power tools to create smooth, high-quality finishes while inspecting components for defects, flaws, or cracks. This opportunity is well suited for someone with production experience, strong attention to detail, and experience working with polishing equipment or metal-finishing processes. What You'll Do Grind, sand, and polish metal components according to specifications. Prepare component surfaces for additional finishing processes. Perform metal-conditioning operations such as polishing, sandblasting, satin finishing, belting, and/or relieving. Set up, adjust, start, and stop polishing and grinding equipment. Operate large polishers, small buffing machines, sandblasting equipment, and related power tools. Manipulate wheels and components using the appropriate pressure and duration to achieve the required finish. Trim and scrape components using chisels and scrapers to create smooth surfaces. Inspect components before and after processing to ensure quality standards are met. Identify defects, cracks, splits, or other non-conforming material and report issues to the appropriate team member. Change polishing wheels or sanding equipment as needed. Clean and maintain equipment, tooling, and the designated work area. Follow established specifications, quality procedures, and safety requirements. What We're Looking For High school diploma or equivalent required. At least 1 year of experience in a production or manufacturing environment . Experience with high-end metal polishing is preferred . Ability to set up and operate polishing equipment. Experience or comfort working with power tools. Ability to control polishing pressure and duration to achieve the desired finish. Ability to review drawings and blueprints using a computer. Strong attention to detail and ability to identify surface defects. Mechanical aptitude is preferred. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Basic math skills. English reading, writing, and verbal communication skills; bilingual English/Spanish is preferred. Physical & Work Environment Requirements This is an active manufacturing position requiring constant standing and walking, frequent use of the hands and arms for grasping, pushing, pulling, and operating tools and equipment, and occasional bending and twisting. Candidates must be able to occasionally lift up to 30 lbs. and push, pull, or exert force up to 50 lbs. Required PPE must be worn while working on the plant floor. The position operates in a manufacturing environment that may include dust, fumes, varying temperatures, humidity, production equipment, and exposure to plating and chemical-processing areas.
