Themed Entertainment, Museums, Zoos, Sports Venues ThemeWorks is hiring a Production Finisher/Painter to assist with the preparation and finishing of scenic elements and custom-built components for immersive environments — from museums and zoos to large-scale themed attractions. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with their hands, using a variety of tools, and contributing to the production of unique, custom projects. What You'll Do Sand, fill, fair, clean, mask, and prime fabricated components. Inspect surfaces for imperfections and make the necessary corrections before final finishes are applied. Prepare fiberglass, wood, metal, plastic, and composite materials for finishing. Use hand tools, power sanders, spray equipment, brushes, rollers, and other finishing tools. Produce smooth, consistent finishes that meet company quality standards and design intent. Follow samples, written instructions, and verbal direction. Maintain a clean and organized work area and properly care for tools and equipment. Follow all company safety procedures when handling paints, solvents, coatings, and other materials. Assist with other production and finishing tasks as needed. What We're Looking For Previous experience in surface preparation, automotive bodywork, industrial finishing, scenic fabrication, sign production, cabinet finishing, or a related field. Strong sanding, filling, fairing, priming, and general surface-preparation skills. Experience working with fiberglass, wood, metal, plastic, or composite materials. Familiarity with spray-applied coatings, catalyzed paint systems, and clearcoats is preferred. Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and finishing equipment. Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team. Strong time management and organizational skills. Willingness to accept feedback and make necessary adjustments. Experience with scenic painting, sign finishing, masking, graphics, color matching, or hand lettering is a plus. Motivated to learn and develop additional fabrication and finishing skills Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a physically active shop environment Why Work at ThemeWorks?
