In this energetic role, you will assist skilled fabricators in creating high-quality stone countertops by supporting various fabrication processes. Responsibilities Assist with the handling and movement of heavy materials using forklifts and manual lifting techniques, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times Support the setup and operation of power tools, hand tools, and machining equipment used in stone fabrication and finishing processes Measure materials accurately using tape measures and perform dimensional checks to ensure compliance with blueprint specifications Aid in cutting, shaping, polishing, and finishing stone surfaces to achieve desired aesthetic and functional qualities Follow safety standards diligently by wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), including respiratory protection and safety gear, during all tasks Help with materials handling, including loading, unloading, and organizing raw materials and finished products within the workspace Support assembly of countertop components according to detailed blueprints and specifications while maintaining quality control standards Requirements Prior experience in fabrication, manufacturing, construction, or related fields is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is key Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and blueprint reading are essential Proficiency with tape measures and familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment is highly desirable Ability to lift heavy materials safely and perform physical tasks throughout the shift Knowledge of safety regulations in production environments; strict adherence to PPE use and safety protocols is required Mechanical knowledge or experience with stone finishing, polishing, or millwork will be considered an asset Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on following blueprint specifications and dimensional measurements accurately This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to develop their skills in a supportive environment that values safety, craftsmanship, and teamwork.
