Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Countertop Shop Helper to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will assist with the fabrication, finishing, and installation of countertops, ensuring that each project meets our high standards for quality and precision. Duties Assist with the handling and movement of heavy materials using forklifts and other equipment, following all safety protocols Support the fabrication process by operating power tools, hand tools, and machinery for cutting, shaping, and finishing stone surfaces Measure and mark materials accurately using tape measures, rulers, and blueprints to ensure precise cuts and fitment Follow blueprint specifications and dimensional measurements to produce custom countertops according to design plans Perform stone finishing tasks such as polishing, grinding, and surface smoothing to achieve desired aesthetic qualities Maintain a clean and organized workspace by properly handling materials, tools, and waste disposal Adhere strictly to safety standards including PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) use such as respirators, gloves, eye protection, and hearing protection during all operations Requirements Previous experience in fabrication, manufacturing, construction or related fields is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential Mechanical knowledge combined with familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the workday Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and blueprint interpretation Proficiency with tape measures for accurate dimensional measurements Knowledge of safety regulations in production environments including PPE adherence and safe operation of machinery Understanding of stone finishing techniques such as polishing and surface preparation Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow detailed blueprint specifications precisely Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude Join us in creating stunning countertops that elevate interior spaces!
