$18.00 / hr We are seeking a detail-oriented Metal Finishing Technician to grind, blend, and polish stainless steel and aluminum pipe, tubing, and fabricated components. This is a fast-paced position requiring consistent work, a strong eye for detail, and the ability to focus while producing smooth, uniform finishes. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with grinders, sanders, polishers, and other power tools. Job Summary Grind and blend welds on stainless-steel and aluminum pipe, tubing, and fabricated components Remove weld discoloration, scratches, tool marks, and other surface imperfections Produce uniform directional, brushed, satin, or polished finishes as required Restore finished areas to a smooth, consistent appearance that matches surrounding material Select and properly use grinding wheels, flap discs, sanding belts, conditioning discs, polishing compounds, and other abrasives Maintain consistent quality and production in a fast-paced work environment Perform other duties as assigned Experience Required Experience using grinders, sanders, polishers, and similar power tools required Previous experience with metal grinding and polishing required Experience grinding and polishing stainless steel, aluminum, or other architectural metals strongly preferred Skills & Qualifications Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to focus and maintain consistent work throughout the shift Ability to produce clean, uniform finishes Knowledge of different abrasives and their proper applications Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment Ability to maintain consistent pace and quality Dependable and able to work effectively as part of a team
