Job Description

Our products are proudly manufactured with precision and quality in mind. Accountability Reports to the Operations Manager. Non-exempt. Scope of Responsibilities The Metal Finisher prepares, smooths and polishes fabricated metal components to meet high quality standards. Responsibilities include operating hand grinders, sanders, and buffing equipment to remove scratches and defects from metal surfaces, grinding welds that have filled uneven surfaces to a smooth and level finish, straight lining, polishing and etching as needed. Specific Duties
- Grind and polish welds to a smooth, contour finish.
- Deburr parts.
- Band plus cold Saw parts as needed.
- Read blueprints, work instructions and production paperwork.
- Unload metal off truck by hand, hoist or forklift.
- Keep metal on rack organized and put away.
- Saw/shear parts within the tolerance specified on the drawing and removing all sharp edges with a hand tool or machine.
- Machine/drill parts on manual mill, lathe and drill press within the tolerance specified on drawing.
- Inspect finished parts using measuring tools and visual quality standards.
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, grinders, and polishing equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area.
- Assist other areas assigned by Manager. Job Requirements
- High School Degree (or equivalent).
- Previous experience or ability to be trained in metal finishing, fabrication, manual machining, and sawing metal.
- Experience using grinders, sanders, polishers, and other finishing tools.
- Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools such as tape measures.
- Mechanical attitude and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Be able to stand for long periods of time (roughly 90% of the time).
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Pay:
$21.00- $23.
