Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Cabinetry Finisher to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for the final transformation of our custom cabinetry, ensuring every piece meets our premium quality standards. You will prepare wood, veneer, and MDF surfaces, mix custom stains, and utilize professional spray equipment to apply finishes. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for detail, a deep understanding of wood characteristics, and an unwavering commitment to quality control.

Key Responsibilities Surface Preparation:

Sand, seal, scrape, and prep solid woods, veneers, and MDF surfaces using orbital sanders, hand blocks, and detail scrapers to eliminate imperfections.]

Finish Application:

Professionally apply stains, paints, sealers, glazes, lacquers, and topcoats using HVLP, gravity-fed, or airless spray gun systems.

Color Matching:

Blend, tint, and match custom stains to ensure consistency across entire cabinetry sets or panels to match existing control samples.

Equipment Maintenance:

Clean, maintain, and troubleshoot finishing equipment, including spray guns, pumps, lines, and the ventilation/paint booth system.

Quality Control:

Inspect finished products for runs, sagging, dust contamination, or uneven coloring, performing touch-ups and artistic corrections as required.

Safety & Compliance:

Adhere strictly to OSHA safety guidelines and EPA hazardous material regulations regarding handling, ventilation, and proper disposal of solvents and finishes.

Qualifications & Skills Experience:

Minimum 3 -5 years of experience in custom cabinetry and architectural millwork.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency with pneumatic spray tools, spray booth operations, and various wood preparation techniques.

Material Knowledge:

Solid understanding of wood grains, species, absorption behaviors, and how different finishes react to various materials.

Blueprint Literacy:

Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and cut lists.

Soft Skills:

Exceptional attention to detail, strong time-management skills to meet schedule-driven deadlines, and a collaborative team attitude. Physical Requirements Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver parts weighing up to 50 pounds . Comfortable standing, bending, crouching, and performing repetitive arm movements for extended periods. Ability to wear a respirator and work safely in environments with paint fumes, dust, and solvents

Pay:
