Henderson, NV Job Details Full-time $21 - $24 an hour 22 hours ago Qualifications Moving High school diploma or GED Abrasive blasting Power tools Sandblasting Full Job Description Xtreme Manufacturing in Henderson, Nevada, is seeking an experienced Blaster to join our Paint Department team!SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
The Blaster is responsible for using grinding tools, power tools and specialized equipment to remove paint, rust, and other material build-ups from rough surfaces. In addition to operating the blast booth and unloading the cabinet, the Blaster may also be asked to help with painting or coating tasks after you have successfully removed the unwanted substances from the surface.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Remove dirt, paint, grease, and other built-up material from surfaces. Set up and operate a blast booth or similar equipment. Load and unload the blast cabinet. Assist with painting or coating as needed. Apply and remove non-skid materials as needed. Bleed out air compressor to ensure there is no moisture and let compressor continue to run to build up air (to avoid water damage on the air tools). Lubricate all air tools. Clean equipment and work areas. Collect all tools and place them back in the proper toolboxes. Dispose of hazardous waste in an appropriate manner. Must wear proper PPE (fresh air respirator, safety glasses, gloves, paint suit, etc.).REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Previous sandblasting experience required. High school diploma or GED certificate. Experience working with or removing heavy metals a plus. Familiarity with power tools.PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; and smell. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.WORKING CONDITIONS
For Full-Time employees, expect to work a 10-hour shift on average, including overtime if necessary. Reliably commute to Henderson, Nevada, or planning to relocate to local area before starting work. Comply with the brand and hygiene policies.Day shift:
