POSITION SUMMARY
The 1220 Finisher is an individual who has experience in the automotive finish industry &/or has Acrylic and/or Polyurethane experience. You should have experience working in, and around, large paint booths and with commercial spraying equipment. You should be adept at surface preparation and application of all types and varieties of coatings to wood, wood products, metals, plastics and other substrates, using various equipment and tools to achieve the desired final product in a timely manner.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1.
Can take and follow direction. 2. Maintain good attendance, dependable and display a strong work ethic. 3. Utilize finishing equipment in an efficient and safe manner. 4. Complete tasks delegated by Production Manager on or under time allotted 5. Ask questions/seek advice from Production Manager or Team Lead when in doubt. 6. Follow Finishing procedures set forth by Production Manager. 7. Display a sense of urgency towards completing tasks in a safe and efficient manner. 8. Assist in developing solutions to problems. 9. Work within a team environment and contribute to a positive work environment. 10. Demonstrate a professional and positive attitude in approaching job assignment. 11. Contribute to a safe work environment. 12. May occasionally be asked to fill in other areas as the need arises. 13. Ability to work well under pressure with tight deadlines. 14. Assist in training of team members who are in the learning process. 15. Share project related information with other team members - be a team player. 16. Other job duties as assigned.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No direct supervisory responsibilities.QUALIFICATIONS TO BE CONSIDERED
- Minimum of 2-3 years of prior automotive or signage finish experience, and / or Acrylic Polyurethane experience, a MUST . . Experience working in, and around, large spray booths
- Previous finishing or painting experience in a related industry: Cabinetry, Furniture, Millwork, Store Fixtures, Commercial Signage, Exhibits
- Knowledge of various types of spray equipment: Conventional, Airless, HVLP, Air assisted airless
- Basic problem solving.
- Attention to detail in masking off/detail work
- Experience with color matching a plus.
- Self-starter and self-motivated.
- Positive, can do attitude
- Thrives in a team environment.
