Job Description

We are committed to providing a safe, engaging workplace that values your skills and growth. This is a second shift role. Hours are 6:00am-2:30pm - M-F. The buffer/polisher is responsible for grinding, sanding, or polishing different metals, including stainless steel and aluminum, with the use of hand or power tools. Take rough, scratched, or welded metals, and finish them to look like restaurant-grade/casted-quality (never-been-welded) products with consistent polish. You need an eye for detail and pride in your own detailed work. Skills that transfer nicely to metal polishing are auto detailing, auto painters, and artists. Duties Work with various materials; mainly stainless steel and aluminum, but some mild steel Smooth surfaces of item to specified finish, using hand tools and powered tools. May polish metal surface, using powered polishing wheel or belt, as well as hand rubbing. Clean equipment as needed prior to changeovers or at the end of the shift Safely set-up and operate department equipment. Interpret drawings and plan in proper sequence. Must have physical ability to handle items 50+ lbs. Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and routings. Punctual daily attendance is a key requirement for success in this position. TIG Welding proficiency is not required but is a plus.
Pay:
