Nellson is seeking a motivated and experienced Sanitation Lead to join our Powder Division in Anaheim, California . Shift:
2:30 PM - 10:30 PM. Weekend availability required. Position Summary Under the direction of the Manager or Supervisor, the Sanitation Lead is responsible for supporting daily sanitation operations, leading and training team members, and ensuring compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), and company safety standards. This role plays a critical part in maintaining equipment cleanliness, product quality, and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities Train, coach, and support sanitation associates to ensure adherence to SOPs and cGMP requirements. Monitor team performance and verify assigned sanitation tasks are completed accurately and efficiently. Assist production operations as needed to support business objectives. Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding daily activities, issues, and priorities. Oversee completion of the Master Sanitation Program and related documentation. Ensure sanitation logs, records, and departmental documentation are completed accurately and on time. Label cleaned equipment appropriately, indicating sanitation status and expiration dates. Serve as the department lead in the absence of the Supervisor or Manager. Promote and maintain a safe working environment by following all company safety policies and procedures. Maintain regular attendance and punctuality. Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned. Additional Responsibilities Support coworkers and other departments when needed. Assist with special projects and other related duties as required. Qualifications Experience & Knowledge Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing, packaging, or production environment. Previous experience as a Lead, Line Runner, or similar leadership role preferred. Demonstrated leadership abilities, initiative, and the capacity to work effectively in a dynamic environment with multiple priorities. Skills & Abilities Strong leadership and team-building skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, or working knowledge of Spanish. Basic math skills required. Ability to lead with a collaborative, positive, and decisive approach. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards. Ability to work effectively with supervisors, peers, and cross-functional teams. Proactive problem-solving and organizational skills. Physical Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this position: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift. Light physical exertion required while performing routine sanitation activities. Strong attention to detail and visual accuracy when completing documents and inspections.
