Job Description
Responsible to ensure the proper implementation of quality programs and the compliance with the food standards. This position is required to monitor and review production performance according to the food and quality regulations. Duties and Responsibilities
- This position is responsible for making sure employees are properly performing their duties that affect food safety or quality. . Work closely with Production team and handle quality issues that may found.
- Monitor and maintain the food safety plan (HACCP) in the facility. Assist in conducting and documenting the food safety plan (HACCP) reviews.
- Assist in quality and food safety training for new hires and annual sessions.
- Manage the updates in the document and quality control procedures.
- Monitor and report any deviations such as in the Sanitation and Pest Control activities.
- Conduct GMP audits and report findings to responsible departments.
- Perform the quality checks on glass and hard plastics inventory, chemical inventory, and food defense assessment.
- Ensure that all employees, visitors, etc. follow Safety and Accident Prevention Rules.
- Isolate any product which will not meet the quality standards or may cause a food safety hazard if eaten. Notify Operations Manager of any such problem and record on appropriate document.
- Follow the hold/ release policy and investigate the corrective action of non-conformities.
- Make sure employees are following GMP's, keep their area clean at all times.
Job Requirements:
This position requires a person experienced and/or ability in the following:- Strong Computer Skills
- Experience in food manufacturing (Prefer 2 years minimum)
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, Organic Handling Procedures, Allergen Control Program, Food Plant Security, Glass and Hard Plastic, Quality related policies and safety policies
- Good communication skills relating to employees
- Basic reading and writing skills
- Disciplined work style towards tasks; a flexible style towards people
- Can follow instructions or lead others
