This position is responsible for leading and supporting our Horticulture Technicians while ensuring exceptional plant care, outstanding customer service, and efficient daily operations. The ideal candidate is an organized leader with strong horticultural knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to balance field work with administrative responsibilities. This is a hands-on leadership position that requires both management and technical expertise. Responsibilities Leadership & Team Management Lead, schedule, and support the Horticulture Technician team to ensure efficient daily operations. Train, coach, and mentor technicians while maintaining company standards and quality service. Manage route changes, scheduling adjustments, and workload distribution. Foster a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment. Service Operations & Customer Service Oversee daily service operations, including routing, plant replacements, and service requests. Serve as the primary contact for service-related customer concerns and ensure timely, professional resolution. Work closely with the Operations Manager to maintain service quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Plant Care & Quality Control Provide expert knowledge of interior plant care and diagnose plant health issues. Recommend and implement corrective actions, replacements, and service improvements. Ensure technicians consistently follow proper horticultural practices and company quality standards. Administrative Responsibilities Manage technician scheduling, routing, and timekeeping. Maintain service records and complete administrative tasks, including security clearances, license applications, and customer access documentation. Utilize Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, and scheduling software. Assist with inventory management, service planning, and other departmental administrative duties. Qualifications Required Previous management or supervisory experience. Strong knowledge of tropical interior plants and proper plant care. Excellent customer service, leadership, and communication skills. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management abilities. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and general computer software. Ability to learn scheduling and routing software. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds. Preferred Experience in the interiorscape, horticulture, or green industry. Experience managing field service teams and routing. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
