Job Description

Carne Area Manager Dairy Knowledge and Sales Focus Carne is seeking an Area Manager with a strong background in dairy agriculture to work directly with farms, food processors, and dairy nutritionists. This role is hands-on in the dairy ag industry, building relationships and driving growth across the region. Dairy, sales and animal nutrition knowledge is a plus. This Position reports to the President of Carne.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate the movement of by-products from dairy plants to end users (dairy, feedlot, etc.) Help in setting up end users with needed equipment to accept by-products Grow sales with livestock farms and food manufacturing plants Negotiate and manage new projects and agreements Oversee volumes, pricing, and regional P&L performance Build long-term relationships with farmers, nutritionists, and vendors Ensure customer commitments and contracts are met Partner with the Logistics Team to manage seasonal and product shifts Help in organizing dispatch plans
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Strong dairy industry background (required) Experience with farms and food processing plants Dairy nutrition knowledge (preferred) Proven skills in sales, negotiation, and relationship management Professional image and demeanor Ability to work in high-stress environment Computer literate and able to learn new software Ability to work unsupervised and command results Ability to travel
Working Conditions:
Full-time employment with flexible working hours, as required On-call availability is necessary during weekends and evenings, as required Work on-site with customers, under various weather conditions
