Job Description

Join our team as a Basic or Advanced Equipment Service Technician in Smith Center, Kansas . Service equipment in a mix of shop and field environments. Work with a people-focused team that values hands-on problem-solving, technical expertise, and customer service. Requirements:
Must-haves:
• Valid driver's license • Own tools •
For Advanced Tech:
4+ years experience expertise in hydraulics, electrical diagnostics, and schematic reading •
For Basic Tech:
1–3 years experience proficiency in basic chassis repairs, service work, and hose changes • Ability to diagnose and repair agricultural equipment • Willingness to work both shop and field assignments
Nice-to-haves:
• Diesel technician degree • Agricultural equipment experience • Construction, hydraulic, or electrical background • Experience with John Deere equipment • Truck mechanic background
Compensation & Benefits:
•
Wages:
$30–$45/hour (base $30–$45/hour efficiency bonus adds variable amount based on labor savings) •
Overtime:
Time-and-a-half after 40 hours/week •
Health Insurance:
Company covers approximately 75% of premiums individual and family coverage available •
Vacation:
Year 1: 12 days Year 2: 18.5 days Year 5: 20 days 10+ years: 25 days •
PPE/Boot Allowance:
$250 annually (renewable covers boots, safety glasses, uniforms) •
Uniforms & Laundry:
Company-paid •
Benefits Start Date:
First of month following 30 days of employment
Hours:

Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–5:30 PM •
Seasonal Saturdays:
Rotating shifts until noon or 3 PM during harvest/planting closed Saturdays in winter •
Overtime:
Average 52 hours/week during busy season minimal in winter •
On-Call:
Optional extra compensation available for employees who opt in #MHM
