Job Description
Job Summary The Cow Care Analyst is a specialty role supporting our dairy farms by serving as an expert consultant in partnership with the local Cow Care team. This position can also perform expert-level Cow Care technical functions. Objectives The Cow Care Team goal is to support dairies by milking cows gently, quickly, and efficiently. By providing professional expertise, innovative products/technology, and the use of up-to-date testing equipment to sustain high milk quality standards. The Cow Care Analyst serves as an expert in one or more of the following skills: graphing and vacuum testing; washing, chemicals and chemical formulas; herd health and herd management systems; robotics or automation technical support and servicing; and refrigeration and parlor systems. Duties Create trust and a good relationship with customers who want to succeed together with the Cow Care Team by strong communication with customers, service staff, and internal teams. Maintain relationships with customers by speaking with each dairy owner or manager before leaving dairy farm. Utilizing milking industry-specific expertise, help develop the account technical support strategy for large dairy opportunities in coordination with the regional Cow Care Account Manager and team. Develop and maintain relationship strategy designed for each customer based on current and future needs that provides a trusted relationship utilizing Cow Care team members and offerings. Share expert knowledge and skills with other internal team members to build consistency, improve overall customer expectations, and build strength of team member skills and abilities. Understand market trends and help Cow Care team develop opportunities that support and maintain the sales and technical services offered by the regional Cow Care program. Partner with local Cow Care teams on projects, auditing, and in-depth analysis of milking systems, cleaning systems, and animal health and hygiene products and equipment. Provide proper and detailed documentation to customers, local teams, and management of farm visits, follow-up actions, and recommendations. Support dairy farm management and technical team with training, best practices, and proper repair and maintenance procedures. Build maintenance programs with key farm staff and support the execution of those programs on-site. Work with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) to resolve equipment design and performance issues as needed. Experience 10+ years of dairy service experience related to milk quality, chemicals, wash, and pulsation. Sales or customer-facing experience. Understanding of milk quality to troubleshoot and train individuals on identifying milk quality issues. Advanced mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration troubleshooting skills. Ability to mentor others. Ability to manage projects and team work assignments. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure. Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
