Job Description
QC Tech - Food Safety Westborough, MA Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Saturday 3am - 1pm (40 hours / 4 days week) Key Responsibilities Monitor plant operations and food safety/quality programs Participate in weekly General Improvements meetings with cross-functional teams Create specification sheets for new products, including nutritional information Perform label verification before new labels are released Conduct analytical testing on finished products to ensure they meet specifications Perform organoleptic and analytical testing on raw materials, packaging, and finished products Conduct in-process testing, including ATP swabs, environmental swabs, and allergen verification Record weekly WIP cooler temperatures Extract SureTrend data and prepare reports for management Identify, document, and communicate food safety and quality issues Write corrective action reports for non-conformances Assist with customer complaint investigations and resolution Serve as a resource to production employees regarding SQF, food safety, and quality requirements Work with production and other departments to identify opportunities for continuous improvement Qualifications Previous experience in food production, food processing, or a manufacturing environment Understanding of food safety and quality control practices Experience with testing, inspections, audits, or quality documentation preferred Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to identify and communicate quality and food safety concerns Customer complaint resolution experience preferred Proficiency with Microsoft Office or other productivity software Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work effectively with production and cross-functional teams Associate degree preferred , but relevant experience will be considered What We're Looking For Savvy Staffing is seeking someone who is detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment .
