A Food or Agricultural Technician assists agricultural and food scientists with research and testing related to safety and quality control. May focus on testing and lab analysis for animal crops and animal feed, or focus on testing and lab analysis for food, food crops, processed food, food additives and food containers.

The Role:
A successful Service Technician (ST) will utilize their strong mechanical aptitude to complete irrigation system maintenance, repairs, and installations with a consistently high level of accuracy. A ST understands how to balance exceptional customer care, quality workmanship, and efficiency in order to meet customer needs, but also keep the schedule running smoothly. Service technicians thrive on working "alone" when the task is at hand, but can courteously and professionally communicate statuses, updates, and sales opportunities to both customers and team members throughout the day. Being flexible and able to adapt to the unknown is key for day to day operations in this role.

The ability to build strong relationships with customers, teammates, and vendors in person, or over the phone. Strong organizational and time-management abilities. A high level of autonomy and resourcefulness. A willingness and ability to learn new software, processes, and procedures.
Qualifications:
A strong understanding of irrigation maintenance, service, and installation practices and techniques, preferred. A strong understanding of irrigation parts and equipment, preferred. A valid driver's license with a good driving record. 2 years of irrigation service and/or installation experience, preferred. Willing to train the right candidate.
Education:
High school diploma or GED, preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Willing and able to work in all weather conditions for extended periods of time. Able to walk, bend, crouch, crawl, dig, rake etc. for an entire shift.
Salary & Pay:
$22.00 - $30.00 per hour DOE Annual bonus
