Opportunity:
The GMP Technician will monitor the facility and production areas to ensure employees are following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and established food safety procedures. This position is ideal for someone who is comfortable walking throughout a food production facility, completing checklists, identifying issues, and communicating concerns to supervisors.
What You'll Be Doing:
Complete daily GMP and sanitation checklists throughout the facility. Inspect production areas to ensure they are clean, organized, and maintained according to food safety standards. Monitor employees to ensure they are following proper GMP and food-handling procedures. Check that employees are wearing required PPE and maintaining proper personal hygiene. Verify proper handwashing and glove-use procedures are being followed. Monitor compliance with requirements regarding hairnets, beard nets, jewelry, food, drinks, and personal items in production areas. Identify and report sanitation, safety, or GMP violations. Document findings accurately on daily inspection checklists. Follow up on identified issues and communicate concerns to supervisors or management. Help ensure equipment, work areas, floors, walls, and other production areas are maintained in a sanitary condition. Assist with maintaining overall food safety and cleanliness standards throughout the facility. Perform other GMP, quality, and sanitation-related duties as assigned. Ability to follow written procedures and complete checklists accurately. Ability to identify and report cleanliness and food safety concerns. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Comfortable working in a food production environment. Ability to communicate professionally with employees and supervisors. Ability to stand, walk, and inspect production areas for most of the shift.
