Food Service Technician (PART TIME) Cone Health United States, North Carolina, Greensboro Aug 06, 2026
The Food Service Technician performs routine duties in the cafeteria such as stocking supplies, setting up food lines, operating the cash register, cooking short-order grill items, and portioning food to customers in order to ensure customer satisfaction. This role follows established protocols in order to maintain a clean and sanitary work environment in the cafeteria. Essential Job Function Helps prepare and serve food according to recipes and standard procedures in order to ensure that the food production is correct and that food waste is minimized.
Helps process customer's and patient's meal orders and ensures they adhere to special diet requests in order to deliver high-quality food service.
Assembles food trays, delivers food trays, and removes food trays from units following all meals in an efficient and quick way.
Maintains proper sanitation of the department by cleaning pots, pans, service ware, equipment, walls, doors, and floors, and properly removing any trash.
Helps keep track of the amount of meals served, cashier reports, and inventory in order to keep inventory up-to-date and effectively document business processes.
Follows standard recipes and utilizes specified preparation techniques in order to comply with diet requirements and, when needed, provide a compliant food substitution for modified diets.
Follows established procedures for the proper storage of food supplies and equipment.
Performs other duties as assigned.
