  • 3:30pm Jones Networking is recruiting for a Food Quality Control Technician II to join an award-winning food production facility in San Antonio, TX.

Food QC Technician II Position Description:
  • Conduct inspections of all food production areas
  • Participate in maintaining sample retention library for frozen and refrigerated products
  • Perform finished product weight checks and ATP swabbing
  • Ensure proper storage procedures are followed (allergens, proper closure, etc)
  • Monitor GMPs and "use by dates"
  • Conduct verification checks of labels on packaging lines to ensure that they are correct
  • Assists with the training of new QA / QC and production staff
  • Serve as the point of contact with the USDA Inspector and follow up on any requests in addition to coordinating any action resulting from such requests
Qualifications Summary:
  • Experience in the food production / manufacturing industry
  • Exposure to USDA food industry production audits, good manufacturing practices, and other food safety standards
  • Ability to successfully complete a Food Manager Certificate and HACCP Training
