Job Description

On the road / field tech position performing basic diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer-owned lawn and garden and big and small agricultural equipment/outdoor power equipment in the field.
Responsibilities:
Performs equipment diagnostics in the field, and determines what repairs are needed, if required. Working on hay equipment / balers, agricultural tractors. Perform equipment pre-delivery inspections/setups. Participates in all job-related training and development. Responsible for completing proper documentation pertaining to the job.
Example:
quotes, parts pick lists, warranty write ups, proper complaint, cause, repair information on each work order. Ability to use computer in diagnostics, documentation, and processing of individual jobs. Prepares all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments. Maintains current product knowledge of John Deere and competitive products. Maintains condition of vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment.
Requirements:
Must have minimum 5 years' field experience performing service repairs on hay equipment and agricultural tractors (John Deere preferred) Ability to perform advanced repairs and maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures. Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, diesel, and hydraulic systems used in the repair of agricultural equipment. High School Diploma or equivalent. Valid Driver's license.
