3:00pm-12:00pm QPS Employment Group is seeking a detail-oriented Food Quality Technician to support quality assurance efforts within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for ensuring food products meet company standards, customer specifications, and food safety requirements. The Quality Technician will perform inspections, complete documentation, monitor production processes, and work closely with production teams to identify and resolve quality concerns while maintaining compliance with safety and sanitation standards. This is a potential to hire opportunity on 2nd shift. Food Quality Technician Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Perform quality inspections of incoming materials, in-process products, and finished food products to ensure compliance with specifications
- Monitor production processes to verify adherence to quality, food safety, and sanitation standards
- Conduct product testing, inspections, and quality checks using measurement tools and testing equipment
- Document inspection results, maintain quality records, and complete required reports accurately
- Identify, investigate, and communicate quality issues, defects, or non-conformances
- Work closely with production teams to troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on product quality, efficiency, and food safety
- Verify compliance with HACCP, GMP, and company quality procedures
- Assist with audits, inspections, and maintaining food safety documentation
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment while following all safety protocols
Food Quality Technician Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications or food safety training preferred
- Previous experience in food manufacturing, quality control, quality assurance, or production environment preferred
- Knowledge of food safety practices, GMPs, HACCP, and sanitation procedures
- Ability to read and interpret specifications, work instructions, and quality documentation
- Experience using measurement tools, gauges, and inspection equipment
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify quality issues quickly
- Excellent documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with production teams
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining accuracy and quality standards
