Trainee → Apprentice → Journeyman → Master Technician Advancement based on demonstrated skill, quality, productivity, safety, and performance Technicians transition into production-based compensation as they advance through the Career Path Qualified technician earning potential: $50,000-$110,000+ annually , depending on skill level, productivity, performance, and available work volume Hourly compensation also applies to designated training and qualifying non-production work What We Offer Paid skilled-trade training — no refinishing experience required Structured career path with opportunities for advancement and increased earning potential Medical and dental insurance following the introductory eligibility period 401(k) Paid sick leave and paid time off in accordance with company policy Primarily Monday-Friday schedule Company-provided vehicles for work assignments Company-provided tools, equipment, materials, and safety equipment Ongoing technical training and career development Stable, established company proudly serving the Sacramento area for more than 40 years What You'll Learn & Do Repair, prepare, and professionally refinish bathtubs, showers, tile, sinks, countertops, and other surfaces Perform chip, crack, blemish, and other surface repairs Learn professional preparation, coating, and spray-finishing techniques Travel to residential and commercial job sites using company-provided work vehicles Safely operate specialized refinishing, spray, and ventilation equipment Communicate professionally with customers and deliver high-quality workmanship Maintain tools, equipment, vehicles, and work areas Follow established quality standards, safety procedures, and company policies Schedule & Travel Regular work schedule is primarily Monday-Friday Occasional weekend work may be required based on project needs Occasional travel may be required for select commercial projects, specialized assignments, or training Some out-of-area projects may require overnight stays Company-provided vehicles are used for work assignments Travel-related accommodations and approved business expenses are provided in accordance with company policy Qualifications Valid California driver's license with an acceptable driving record Dependable, hardworking, and motivated to learn Strong attention to detail and pride in producing quality work Ability to work independently after completing required training Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and perform the physical duties of the position Ability to communicate effectively and follow written and verbal instructions Willingness to properly use required personal protective equipment and follow all safety procedures Willingness and ability to work occasional weekends and travel for select projects or training when required Must successfully complete applicable pre-employment screening Previous refinishing experience is not required. Experience in automotive painting or auto body, professional painting, spray coatings, cabinet finishing, fiberglass or gel coat repair, construction, remodeling, restoration, or other hands-on trades is a plus.
