Job Description

Shop Helper - Pumps & Electric Motors Michigan Street Pump & Electric Motors is seeking a dependable and hardworking Shop Helper to join our team. This is a hands-on position supporting our mechanics with the repair, maintenance, cleaning, and organization of pumps, electric motors, and related equipment. This position is a great fit for someone who is mechanically inclined, enjoys working with their hands, and is interested in learning more about pump and electric motor repair. Employment Requirements The following are required for this position: Valid driver's license and ability to safely operate a company/shop vehicle for deliveries to job sites Reliable personal vehicle and dependable transportation to and from work Must be able to successfully pass the required OCPS background check Qualifications Previous shop, mechanical, construction, maintenance, or warehouse experience is helpful but not required Basic mechanical knowledge or interest in learning mechanical repair Comfortable using basic hand tools and power tools Ability to follow instructions and work safely Ability to perform physical work, including lifting and moving equipment and parts Dependable, punctual, and hardworking Willingness to learn and take direction Ability to work well independently and as part of a team What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is reliable, motivated, and willing to learn. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, pays attention to detail, and is comfortable working in a hands-on shop environment. No extensive pump or electric motor experience is required. We are willing to train the right person who is dependable and eager to learn.
