Job Description
Blockhouse Company, Inc Furniture Installation & Repairs Blockhouse is looking for an Installer to add to our Team. Our Installers are trusted team members who travel across the United States to aid in the delivery, placement, and sometimes bolt down installation of our furniture. Providing install services to a range of customers in Healthcare, Educational, and Government facilities. Travel includes driving company vehicles, rental vehicles, and flying. Handling the install project from start to finish including communication with customer, booking travel, booking temporary labor help, completing job per scope of work, and completing required documentation.
Duties:
- Driving company or rental vehicles with product for delivery and installation in the eastern U.S. Large, cross country, shipments are shipped to job sites by commercial carrier where our Installers meet the shipments at customer locations.
- Unloading furniture, setting in place, and assembly when required
- Bolting down product to floors/walls per specifications
- Removal/Disposal of customer existing furniture
- In field repairs of product
- Reading floor plans for proper placement of furniture
- In house work when not traveling
- Be able to work independently and be a self-starter
- Be very organized
- Efficient communication skills with both co-workers and customers
- Lead temporary work crews
- Interact with others in a courteous and professional manner

Requirements:
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
- Must have a valid Driver's License with a clean driving record
- You must be able to pass a DOT Physical in order to obtain a medical card
- Must be able to pass a background check (no felony convictions) for access to government, educational, and health care facilities
- Must be able to travel with overnight stays and occasional weekend travel when required
- When not doing installations you will be either working in the manufacturing plant or doing warranty and repair work.
