Key Requirements:

Machine Setup & Operation:

Configure and run sinker or wire EDM machines, adjusting settings like voltage, current, and wire tension.

Programming:

Write or edit G-code and use CAD/CAM software to plan precise cutting paths.

Blueprint Reading:

Interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).

Quality Control:

Inspect finished metal components using precision measuring tools like micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators.

Maintenance & Troubleshooting:

Perform routine daily equipment upkeep, flush dielectric fluid systems, and fix minor operational errors.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or a 2-year degree in machining or manufacturing is often preferred.

Experience:

1 to 3+ years of hands-on CNC machine or EDM operating experience.

Technical Skills:

Strong math skills, blueprint literacy, and computer proficiency.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for long shifts, use manual dexterity, and occasionally lift heavy workpieces (up to 35-70 lbs)
