Job Duties Grind, sand, deburr, and polish metal parts using hand grinders, belt sanders, buffers, and other finishing equipment. Remove sharp edges, weld splatter, burrs, and surface imperfections from fabricated components. Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality and dimensional specifications. Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and production instructions. Maintain proper surface finishes in preparation for painting, powder coating, or assembly. Safely operate grinders, polishers, and other hand and power tools. Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment and report any mechanical issues. Education Requirements High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous manufacturing or production training is beneficial. Experience Requirements Ability to work safely in manufacturing and production environments. Ability to follow written work instructions, production procedures, and quality standards. Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain productivity and consistent quality. Mechanical aptitude and the ability to safely operate basic production equipment when required.
