Job Description

Job Summary:
Redwood Empire is seeking a skilled Weinig Moulder Operator to join our production team. This role is responsible for the complete set up, calibration, operation and maintenance of our high-speed Weinig Moulder machinery with a focus on safety and quality. Compensation & Benefits

Primary Responsibilities:
Set up, operate, and maintain Weinig Moulder to produce precision-milled redwood lumber products. Adjust cutting heads, calibrate feed speeds, and tooling to meet quality and production specifications. Operate Weinig Rondamat profile grinders to sharpen, modify, or create custom knife profiles as required Inspect finished products using calipers and micrometers to ensure they meet production requirements. Troubleshoot mechanical issues during production runs Perform routine daily maintenance on the machinery Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company policies
Qualifications & Skills:
Minimum 3 - 5 years' experience operating Weinig Moulders or similar precision woodworking machines. High School Diploma or equivalent; technical certification in wood processing or machining are a plus. Familiarity with redwood species, grain patterns, and proper cutting techniques. Experience with knife grinding, template building and precision measuring tools (calipers, gauges) Understanding of lockout/tagout procedures and general sawmill safety. Ability to lift 50+ lbs Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, squatting Work is performed in an industrial setting in varying conditions
Pay:
$35.00 - $42.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 50.0 per week
