Centerless Grinder Fastener Innovation Technology - 2.5 Rancho Dominguez, CA Job Details Full-time $24 - $32 an hour 21 hours ago Qualifications Inspection gauge Mechanical blueprint interpretation Measurement-based inspection Monitoring dimensions Mechanical drawings Precision measurement in machining Mechanical quality control procedures Full Job Description Basic Purpose and Objective Centerless Grinder operator sets up and operates precision grinding equipment to grind lot parts in accordance with established shop practices. Performs work operations under supervision. Specific Duties and Responsibilities Sets-up and operates precision grinding equipment to perform operations within machine capacity and capability. Must have knowledge of grinding TD, angle head and button head parts and understanding of head protrusion gauging. Must have demonstrated ability to perform hand feeding using a head stop for profile grinding. Demonstrated ability to setup and troubleshoot loading system for the auto grinders. Selects tooling and fixtures pertaining to the grinding operation. Inspects parts for quality and appropriate tolerance using measuring tools such as micrometers, gauge blocks, protrusion gauge, millimes gauge, calipers, and comparators. Determines proper feed and speed combination. Records the piece count and run time of the production times. Recognizes improper machine functioning and makes required adjustments if possible. Demonstrated technical knowledge and experience in reading and interpreting blueprints and overlays. Demonstrated ability to use SPC and shop floor data collection systems. Other duties may be assigned. Skills and Formal Training Requirements/Experience Able to read, comprehend, and execute directions from mechanical drawings. Able to measure dimensions of products to verify conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers.
