ATC Manufacturing is a dynamic aerospace parts manufacturing company at the forefront of innovation and precision engineering. As we expand our team, we are searching for a meticulous and skilled Water Jet Operator to contribute to the flawless finish of our cutting-edge products. This is a Full-time position. Job Entails:
Setup and Operation:
Prepare and operate water jet cutting and shear machines to cut materials to specified dimensions and tolerances. Load, align, and secure materials in machines using appropriate lifting techniques and equipment. Verify proper program selection and cutting parameters before operation. Load and secure composite panels and cutting fixtures safely and correctly. Monitor machine operation and adjust parameters as needed to ensure quality and efficiency. Record production data accurately in ERP/Shopfloor production tracking systems.
Verification and Quality Control:
Review and interpret engineering drawings and work orders to determine job specifications. Confirm material type and thickness match job requirements. Inspect finished blanks using precision measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers to ensure conformance to tolerances. Report any deviations or nonconforming materials. Follow
AS9100, ISO
9001, and company quality system procedures.
Maintenance and Safety:
Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines and work areas. Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves and hearing protection. Safely lift and maneuver materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
Continuous Improvement:
Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, and safety. Communicate effectively with team members, programmers, and supervisors regarding production issues or recommendations.
Skills and Competencies:
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, travelers, and process instructions. Basic understanding of CNC or machine control interfaces. Strong attention to detail and quality. Ability to use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, tape measures). Basic computer literacy for data entry and documentation. Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to efficiently manage and prioritize multiple tasks, projects, or responsibilities simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and quality. Effectively balance competing deadlines and adapting to shifting priorities in fast paced environments.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods. Regularly lift up to 50 lbs. Manual dexterity for handling materials and operating machinery. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, hearing protection, and gloves required. Must pass background check and drug screening. Compliance with
