  • $125 per diem long-term project located in Cape Canaveral, Florida!!
  • Job Title: Instrument Fitter
  • Job Description
  • The Instrument Fitter installs, fabricates, and maintains instrumentation and piping systems that support complex launch and test environments.

This role reads and interprets technical documentation, assembles and troubleshoots ground hardware and integration equipment, and works closely with engineering teams to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of critical systems in a high‑technology facility.

  • Responsibilities
  • + 2+ years of experience in tube bending, hand bending, and customizing pipes.

+ Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics, blueprints, engineering drawings, datasheets, manuals, and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).

+ Hands-on experience with tube bending equipment and knowledge of benders such as Swagelok, Ridgid, and Parker.

+ Ability to apply offset formulas and bending calculations to achieve precise tube routing.

+ Experience working with instrumentation and electrical systems in an industrial or technical environment.

+ Proficiency using hand tools and test instruments for fabrication, installation, and troubleshooting.

+ Ability to work with various sizes of pipes and valves in medium and high pressure systems.

+ Experience working with thermocouples and other instrumentation sensors.

+ Ability to use computers or tablets (such as iPads) to access documentation and record work.

+ Experience in oil and gas or pharmaceutical environments, or similar process industry experience.

+ Understanding of piping and instrumentation design concepts and P&ID-based workflows.

+ Ability to perform integration testing and verify proper operation of installed systems.

You will regularly use hand tools, power tools, tube benders, precision measuring instruments, and test equipment while working with piping, valves, pumps, hydraulic assemblies, high pressure systems, cryogenic systems, and data acquisition hardware. The environment emphasizes safety, adherence to procedures, and collaboration with engineering and operations teams in a clean, organized, and technically sophisticated setting.

  • Pay and Benefits
  • The pay range for this position is $30.

00 - $38.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
