In this role, you will set up and operate precision grinding machines to produce high-quality metal components that support our advanced conveyor and protection systems. Responsibilities include reading blueprints, selecting and dressing wheels, maintaining tight tolerances using precision measuring tools, and performing routine machine maintenance. Responsibilities Set up and operate grinding machines for precision metal components Interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings Select, mount, and dress grinding wheels and fixtures Measure parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges to maintain tight tolerances Adjust machine settings to achieve required finishes and dimensions Perform routine machine maintenance and keep work area clean and safe Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve issues Document production data, inspections, and quality results Required Skills Cylindrical or surface grinding machine operation Machine set up and tooling selection Blueprint and technical drawing interpretation Use of micrometers, calipers, and gauges Tolerance and GD&T basics Metalworking and machining processes Wheel selection, dressing, and balancing Basic CNC or manual machine controls Preventive maintenance on grinding equipment Adherence to safety and quality standards
