(M&S) is a leading multidisciplinary engineering firm specializing in engineering and surveying services for infrastructure projects across the tri-state area. Our dedicated team of professional engineers, land surveyors, and environmental scientists is committed to delivering high-quality design services to major transportation agencies. Summary We are seeking an experienced Land Surveyor Instrument Operator. The ideal candidate will be located in the Northeast/Central East NJ region , and must have good knowledge of field surveying techniques, along with the ability to operate surveying equipment including total stations, data collectors and levels while performing right of way, boundary and topographic surveys. Responsibilities Review and validate survey data for accuracy and completeness Provide training and mentorship to junior staff Collaborate with office staff and other professionals to support project goals Manage project timelines and deliverables effectively Requirements Preferred 2 years of experience as an instrument operator, but will train the right candidate Must be familiar with operating surveying instruments Must be familiar with data collectors and surveying software Familiarity with automatic line work a plus Experience with GPS equipment a plus Experience with robotic equipment a plus Follow Crew Chief directives Take pride in work with desire to learn and grow Reliable attendance and punctuality
