Job description V&S Utilities supplies products and services to electrical utilities, rural electrical cooperatives, contractors, and manufacturing industries. We are fabricators of structural and tubular steel with locations in Oklahoma, New Jersey and Ohio.

Plasma Table Operator Duties:

Run CNC plasma cutters, beam drill lines, plate processors, and band saws.

Setup and Calibration:

Load programs, select correct tooling, and adjust machine speed and feed rates.

Material Handling:

Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and conveyors to load steel pieces.

Quality Control:

Inspect finished parts using tape measures against shop drawings.

Blueprint Reading:

Interpret structural blueprints, CAD designs, and Tekla or SDS2 software data. Plasma Table Operator Skills and Qualifications Ability to use a measuring tape Somewhat efficient in computer software programs

Plasma Table Operator Physical Stamina:

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Safety Mindset:

Strict adherence to OSHA standards, PPE use, and crane safety protocols.

Experience:

High school diploma plus 1-3 years of steel shop experience
