SUMMARY EVS
Metal is a leading American manufacturer of Precision Fabricated, Machined Metal and Integration services. We have an immediate opening for a Grinder . The Grinder will operate grinding equipment in order to finish grind welds and to remove sharp burrs and edges of metal parts to customer expectations.
Schedule:
1st Shift 6:00am
  • 2:30pm Monday
  • Friday 2nd Shift 3:30pm
  • 12:00am Monday
  • Friday Duties and Responsibilities Visually inspect parts for obvious defects and set aside for lead and/or supervisor.
Performs repetitive decorative grinding / graining / polishing operations by removing excess metal and surface defects from parts by polishing, grinding, and cleaning per customer specifications. Requires the ability to use common hand tools to the trade among which are: orbital sanders, right angle die grinder, and 4 1/2" grinder. Follow all safety requirements. Maintain a clean and orderly working environment. Properly dispose of metallic scrap material. Requires the ability to use precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions of product for accuracy and conformance to specifications.
    Requirements:
    Has a minimum of a High School diploma/GED plus 2 years of operating grinding / finishing equipment. Ability to read technical instructions, drawing and finish specifications. Follows

Ability to handle multiple priorities with a positive, open attitude Is comfortable working in a fast paced environment and embraces Continuous Improvement This position may involve access to export-controlled information or items subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). To comply with U.S. export control laws, candidates must be a U.S. Person, defined as a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident (green card holder), or an individual otherwise authorized to access ITAR-controlled information.
